Hey folks, as mentioned last week, Mercury is going to take a hiatus for the next 10 weeks so artist Chris Griffin can get his schoolin' on. In its place we offer you what is actually my thesis project that I completed a couple years back for Texas A&M University's Visualization Sciences program.

The goal of my research and project was to study the use of 3D computer generated imagery in the comic book medium, and then to find a technique for seamlessly integrating 2D imagery as well. You know you're a geek when you've earned a diploma by creating a comic. Er, and by writing a 100 page paper.

Anyways, hope you enjoy. Its more of a fairy tale than your typical action comic, but I was happy with how it turned out. Oh, and did I mention it rhymes? Deal with it, suckas.
