Mason and his sister Raven live in a world separated into those who are Normal and those who are Abnormal. Abnormals all have varying abilities, but the one constant among them is that they cannot be killed. However, all that changes one night when Mason does the impossible and kills an Abnormal named Brock. When Brock’s brother Kane decides he must eliminate the one threat to the Abnormals’ existence, Mason and Raven find themselves on the run where they become unwilling participants in a power struggle between Normals and Abnormals.

Mason crosses paths with a mysterious man named Midas, who offers him protection from the gang of Abnormals pursuing him. Mason cautiously accepts Midas’s offer, and enlists his help in finding his sister, Raven, who got separated from Mason while on the run. Now Mason must stay alive long enough to find Raven and determine why Midas seems unusually interested in how he was able to kill an Abnormal.

Secrets from the past are revealed as Mason learns the true intentions of Midas and the troopers who have been following them. How is Midas connected to Kane, and what do the troopers know about Raven’s kidnapping?
